Our targeted sustainability development goals encompass initiatives focused on clean water and sanitation, life on land, climate action, and quality education. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as Global Goals, these efforts aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and foster peace and prosperity by 2030. Reporting on the SDGs is integral to communicating our commitment to these goals, ensuring accountability, and measuring progress over time.
Water Commitment
We are dedicated to advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. Our commitment extends beyond traditional approaches, as we actively research the utilization of indigenous knowledge and nature-based solutions, such as foggara systems, to address water challenges. Furthermore, we invest in platforms that empower youth to advocate for water conservation and drive local policy changes through the National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (NCCAP). Our commitment also includes region-specific training sessions, such as Greening Campuses webinars, aimed at promoting adaptation methods and fostering sustainable water management practices.
Education Commitment
We prioritize educational initiatives to empower future generations. Through strategic partnerships and synergies with universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), we offer scholarships and support special projects aimed at promoting sustainability. Additionally, our research projects focus on creating sustainability jobs and addressing pressing issues such as climate change impacts, carbon capture and storage (CCS), greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and vertical agricultural farming. By investing in education, we aim to nurture a new generation of leaders equipped to tackle global challenges.
Agricultural Action
We are committed to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 15: Life on Land, through our agricultural initiatives. We invest in increasing the presence of vertical farming solutions in our host countries, promoting sustainable agricultural practices that maximize land use efficiency. Our research efforts focus on soil quality and degradation, aiming to develop innovative solutions for enhancing agricultural productivity while preserving natural resources. Additionally, we establish partnerships to develop ammonia production lines, furthering our commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and reducing environmental impacts.
Climate Action
As part of our commitment to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: Climate Action, we actively engage in initiatives to mitigate climate change impacts. We invest in research projects and technologies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting climate resilience. Our efforts include supporting climate change adaptation strategies tailored to the specific challenges faced by our host countries. By collaborating with local stakeholders and leveraging innovative solutions, we strive to drive meaningful change and contribute to a sustainable future for all.
